CMMI® Survival Guide
This course examines the structure and content of the Integrated CMM (CMMI®). The Continuous and Staged representations are both addressed as are the four disciplines which CMMI® currently covers (i.e. Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Integrated Product & Process Development, and Supplier Sourcing). The course will also provide a brief overview of each of the 22 process areas and the set of generic practices that are necessary to introduce and sustain effective process improvement
Objectifs:
Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to:
- Describe the basic structure of the staged & continuous representations of the CMMI®.
- Understand the difference between a capability level and a maturity level.
- Identify the Process Areas associated with a specific process category (e.g. Project Management).
- Identify the Process Areas required for individual Maturity Levels.
- Understand the generic practices required at each capability and maturity level.
- Understand how they can contribute to the organisational improvement programme
