The first step to using Lean Six Sigma pragmatically is to determine the gaps between your current performance and your desired performance. This is a baseline review which will establish your business case for change.

With the gaps identified and a case for change established the next step is the post review planning where will determine how Lean Six Sigma can close the gaps. This will include implementation targets and plans as well as the organisational; structure and staffing support for the Lean Six Sigma effort. This will then enable the plan budget to be finalised.
